Online EYFS Introduction to Numeracy

Monday 10th November 2025, 9.30 am - 11.00 am

Numeracy skills are crucial for future independence and everyday life; there are many mathematical concepts that we can easily introduce from a very early age. This session explores how to effectively support the development of numeracy skills in the Early Years. It focuses on the steps children need to practise to build strong counting skills and offers a range of practical techniques and engaging, visual resources to introduce early numeracy concepts in a meaningful way.

Participants will also discover how Numicon, a multi-sensory teaching resource, can be used to reinforce children’s understanding of numbers through hands-on learning.

This session is ideal for EYFS/KS1 practitioners looking for practical and effective strategies to promote mathematical thinking from a very early age.

PLEASE NOTE - The course fee is £10 per delegate and payment is required in advance. If you are a school and need an invoice prior to making payment, please contact us at admin@dscheshire.org.uk.

"Darcey is going to walk for 21 minutes for 3 weeks in October to support DS Cheshire as her challenge for Down Syndrome awareness month! Darcey isn’t one for walks, she loves coming in from school and chilling out doing creative stuff, so this may not sound a task to some, but for Darcey this is a physical and mental challenge. Please support her on this personal challenge which I know she will smash and all in a great cause."
