Robbie would love everyone to join him in his 21 star jumps on his 21st October birthday, celebrating Down syndrome awareness month.

"Darcey is going to walk for 21 minutes for 3 weeks in October to support DS Cheshire as her challenge for Down Syndrome awareness month! Darcey isn’t one for walks, she loves coming in from school and chilling out doing creative stuff, so this may not sound a task to some, but for Darcey this is a physical and mental challenge. Please support her on this personal challenge which I know she will smash and all in a great cause."

This October, during Down Syndrome Awareness Month , our CEO Vicky is stepping up with a huge challenge: 🏃‍♀️ Running 3 miles every day for 21 days – that’s 63 miles in total! We would love you to support us in one of two ways: 💙 Sponsor Vicky on her JustGiving page, every donation, big or small, will make a difference. 💛 Take on your own “21” challenge, 21 acts of kindness, 21 minutes of dance, 21 laps of the garden… it’s about showing support in your own way . If you would like to support Vicky then just click the image to visit her Just Giving campaign page.

Down Syndrome Awareness Month is celebrated every October to celebrate the abilities of people with Down syndrome, promote acceptance and inclusion, and raise awareness of the condition. Down Syndrome Cheshire have been a massive part of my life since before Ash was born. They have help, supported, encouraged and provided guidance in everything we have had to deal with. So this October I'm riding with the help of my DSV colleagues to raise some much needed funds for them.

Our family has been supported by DS Cheshire for nearly all of Theo’s life. His week is filled with activities run by them DS Dance, DS Drama and DS 18 + activities. We are really grateful for all the opportunities the charity gives Theo to grow, make friends and have fun. The team there truly make a difference to all of us. So we thought of what we could do for our little bit to contribute and fundraise. Theo and I have a real “pet hate” for litter and both enjoy making a difference by collecting litter if we are out on a walk or in a park. Theo has also been litter picking, with his teacher, round Chester for a few years as part of his Duke of Edinburgh tasks. So we thought for Downs Syndrome Awareness month we would ask our friends and family to sponsor Theo to collect 21 bags of rubbish over the month of October. We have started a bit early (today 28/9/25…such a lovely day to be out! ) hence the photos. Thanks in advance for helping Theo to make local environments look better whilst raising money to ensure that the future of DS Cheshire looks better too. 🙏🏻🥰

We're so grateful to everyone who took up this year's Get Active For DSC challenge to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day 2025 - including Penny, who undertook an amazing Zumba-thon with her friends and raised £761 for DSC! This is such an inspirational story, and we feel so grateful and lucky to have the support of amazing people like Penny, whose kindness and determination help us to make a difference in the lives of our Cheshire Down syndrome community.

We're so proud of mum and DSC Trustee, Anna, for challenging herself to 21 gym sessions across the WDSD month of March. In her own words, this was a real undertaking - fitting it in with a busy life and home, but she did it and managed to raise an amazing £916 in the process! Well done, Anna! You're a real inspiration, and we're so grateful for your support.
