This course will focus on the unique profile of students with Down syndrome. It will explore learners’ strengths and how they can be used to support weaknesses. Techniques to improve the learning outcomes will be examined with practical examples demonstrated. A range of areas will be covered including reading, maths, behaviour and understanding task demands. The course aims to equip educators with the practical tools needed to support learners with Down syndrome in inclusive learning environments.
