We're incredibly grateful to the wonderful Ollier family who undertook the amazing challenge of treking 213km across the Down syndrome awarness month of March this year!
Why DSC? Well here's what mum, Louise Ollier shared on their Just Giving Page:
Throughout the month of March Nathan and I will be running or walking a total of 213km (Jasper will be supporting!) to raise money for Down Syndrome Cheshire.
Why this charity? Because they help people with Down Syndrome live the life they choose! They provide advocacy, support, and educational resources that promote understanding, inclusion, and independence for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
DSC have been a huge support to our family in lots of ways over the last nearly 13 years. Jasper currently gets opportunities like weekly yoga and football sessions, for example. We have benefited from Makaton training, the education advocate service, parent peer support sessions and much more. Down Syndrome Cheshire do NOT get ANY government funding and rely on grants and public donations. This is our way of giving back to the charity and we will be extremely grateful for any pennies (or even better, pounds!) you can spare.
Together with £1000 matched-funding from Barclays, the Olliers raised a staggering £2688.47 for DSC!!
Thanks Guys; We think you are all AMAZING!
