Hey, we knew this year’s World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) celebration weekend was going to be something special, but we had no idea it would be as amazing as it turned out to be! Everyone who took part - and there were lots of you - had a fabulous time, and thanks to your incredible energy, generosity, and community spirit, we’re delighted to announce this year’s events are set to raise an amazing £20,000+ for Down Syndrome Cheshire.
From start to finish, the weekend was a true celebration of fundraising, empowerment, and fun. We kicked things off in style with a fantastic Friday evening Country & Western event, full of laughter, music, and dancing. Saturday brought us together for a brilliant family pottery throw-down and community litter pick, led by our very own fundraising champion, Theo, whose enthusiasm inspired us all. And we rounded off the weekend with a sumptuous Sunday afternoon tea, together with a very special appearance at the Sale Sharks Women’s rugby match—where some of our young adult members had the unforgettable experience of running onto the pitch with the players!
