We're delighted to welcome two new members to the DSC team...

Vicky Irwin is our new CEO and brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and energy from her previous role as brand and community manager of Sale Sharks.

"I am really excited about joining DS Cheshire, the work they currently do is life-changing to many families and I’m looking forward to joining the team. I think there is massive opportunity here and I’m excited as to how we can change and impact more lives going forward and how we support the DS community within Cheshire more going forward."

We're delighted to welcome Laura Leather to our board of trustees. Laura has a daughter, Ruby, with Down syndrome and has been a valued family member for many years. Laura has agreed to become our dual diagnosis trustee and will be further developing our services in this area so that she might reach out across the region to better support those families with children who have a dual diagnosis.

"Darcey is going to walk for 21 minutes for 3 weeks in October to support DS Cheshire as her challenge for Down Syndrome awareness month! Darcey isn’t one for walks, she loves coming in from school and chilling out doing creative stuff, so this may not sound a task to some, but for Darcey this is a physical and mental challenge. Please support her on this personal challenge which I know she will smash and all in a great cause."
